Press Release Body = Mr. Ottaviano has been a practicing accountant for over 20 years, and specializes in Forensic Accounting, Taxes, Consulting and Auditing; besides having his own practice for over a decade, he has been an officer and director in a publicly traded company, a corporate accounting manager in a fortune 500 company, an auditor for a midsize New York City public accounting firm, and has served on the board and been an officer in numerous Not-For-Profit corporations. Mr. Ottaviano, besides being a CGAP, also holds the distinguished designations of Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Financial Manager, and Certified Information System Auditor. Mr. Ottaviano received a B.B.A. in Public Accounting from Pace University, and an A.A.S. in Accounting from Suffolk County Community College; and is currently a member of the Institute of Management Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Information Systems Audit and Control Association, the Institute of Internal Auditors, the Tax and Accounting Institute of Long Island University at C.W. Post, and is a past member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Ottaviano is also very active in his community: he is a volunteer fireman and past president of the Glenwood Hook and Ladder, Engine and Hose, Co. where he serves as co-manager/captain and all-star third baseman of the softball team, and on numerous committees; a past director of the Glenwood Volunteer and Exempt Firemen's Benevolent Association, Inc.; vice president and secretary of the North Shore Volunteer Firemen's Holy Name Society, delegate to the Diocese of Rockville Centre Holy Name Society; secretary of the Fifth Battalion Volunteer Firemen's Softball League, and sergeant of arms of the Nassau County Volunteer Fireman's Association. He is also a member of and serves on numerous committees of the, Southern New York Volunteer Firemen's Association, the North Shore Fire Council, and a member of the Firemen's Association of the State of New York, Glen Head Glenwood Business Association, and St. Rocco's Roman Catholic Church, and a past member of the Theodore Gordon Flyfishers, the Alfa Romeo Owners Club, Trout Unlimited, and the Porsche Club of America. Robert has lived in Glen Head for fourteen years, is married to Debra and they have a 10 year old son Robert, III.
